Aluminum powder
   Aluminum powder is commonly called aluminum silver powder or silver powder because of its silver-white metallic luster. Its chemical composition is actually "aluminum", not "silver".
  Application range: powder coating, ink, plastic masterbatch, printing, imitation gold paper, imitation gold card, gold film, textiles, but it will oxidize and turn black when used in water-based paint and acid-base paint. Not recommended for applications requiring acid and alkali resistance and combination with rainwater.
Superfine silver powder
1. Ultra-fine floating silver has a large surface area. When it is exposed to the air, it can quickly form a passive protective film on its surface, that is, oxidation and blackening. Sealing measures are required. Floating silver is not recommended for alkali resistance. For occasions, consider using silver pearl powder if required;
  2. There are certain differences between batches of silver powder, and it is greatly affected by the process and spraying. In addition to maintaining the stability of the production process as much as possible, it should be tested before production to avoid enlarged losses.
3. The addition amount of superfine silver cover bottom is 1-2%. When the high-gloss wax AW500B is added, 0.6%-1.5% can cover the bottom and produce a strong metallic luster. The larger the silver powder addition, the whiter the addition, the smaller the addition. Blue, when the dosage is insufficient, there will be black spots and black threads, or commonly known as fly shit, the whole is black.
4. Floating silver is in the form of flakes and always floats on the outermost layer of the coating, so the hardness and anti-oxidation blackening performance are slightly worse. To get better hardness, you need to add the anti-printing hardener AS501, and add silver powder to increase the hardness. Hard agent POL16, POL09, etc., can not add high gloss wax, gold and silver powder alignment agent, polyethylene wax, etc., the longer the mixing time, the better the effect.
Floating Silver
   1. The smaller the particle size of the silver powder, the stronger the metallic feel and the stronger the hiding power; too much addition will cause the phenomenon of powder spitting and clogging of the gun tip; when the addition amount is not enough, it is easy to appear black spots, flowers or fine streaks. R18, R01 and other special-effect new silver powder dispersants are highly effective dispersants using SIO2 as a carrier. They are different from ordinary silver powder dispersants. No matter how much silver powder is added, they can be uniformly dispersed without black spots. Therefore, it can be adjusted by adjusting the background color and reducing the amount of silver powder. It has the effect of modulating gray-black, blue and different hues of silver powder, and the addition amount is very small, which has a good promotion effect on leveling. Add it to the flakes and grind together. It cannot be added directly. Direct addition will produce particles and white spots. R01 has the best effect, and it is directly dry mixed without particles.
  2. The flaky structure of the floating aluminum powder will be destroyed (deformed or crushed) during the grinding and extrusion process, and the color will become gray, so the dry blending method is generally used.
Non-floating silver
1. The non-floating silver is evenly and parallelly distributed in the entire coating film, so it is wrapped by resin, so it has good oxidation resistance and abrasion resistance, good weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance, no fingerprints, and shiny surface , And the color can be adjusted from the base powder, but the added amount is larger than the floating silver, the metallic effect is not strong with the floating silver, and it is whiter.
2. PCR\DIS type aluminum powder is especially suitable for outdoor products, because it has an inorganic coating layer, it has good water resistance, weather resistance, and chemical resistance; although it is coated with silicon and other materials, in the environment of natural exposure, aluminum Under the conditions of light and humidity, the powder will quickly undergo chemical and physical changes such as oxidation, which will weaken the metallic feeling, the coating film will become gray and dark, and gray spots will appear. In order to solve such problems and scratches, it is recommended to use transparent powder to cover the light.
3. The amount of cover added is tested with transparent base powder. The amount of flash silver added can reach up to about 10%; the mixing and spraying process directly affects the spraying and covering effect, please pay attention to the uniformity of the mixing and the consistency of the spraying, the coarser the particle size, the flashing The better the effect.
